Wild Wednesdays: Get It Girl!

I am well aware that today is Wednesday, and not Tuesday. However, I want this post to concentrate on the awesome music videos that girls have been releasing lately.

Kelly Rowland

“Lay It On Me”

After just a week, Kelly has over 7 million views on YouTube. I think everyone can agree that she is having the year of her solo career life. With two hit singles under her belt, Ms. Kelly is definitely becoming an R&B queen in her own right.

Britney Spears

This is probably the best Britney has looked in years. From her hair to her clothes to her makeup, this is the Brit Brit that we all know and love. Not to mention, she’s finally looking her age. Young! ๐Ÿ™‚

“Love On Top”

Considering all those fake pregnancy rumors, I wonder when Beyonce filmed this video….I’m not really a fan of this song, but the music video takes me back to the days of New Edition.

p.s. I know not everything is a competition, but for kicks, let’s see if B’s video can top Kelly’s 7 million views in one week.

Music Tuesdays: Chris Brown, Are We Ignoring You?

I think so…

Good morning folks! I hope everyone feels well rested and ready for the day. As you know, today is Music Tuesday, and I hope I can create a few smiles with these music videos and tunes.

First up is Chris Brown.

Not too long ago I reported that Chris Brown had released a new single called “Yeah 3x.” So, why is it that I have yet to really hear the single on the radio??? There is even a music video for the song, which apparently premiered on Vevo over a week ago.

Here’s the music video for “Yeah 3x.”

Cute, huh? ๐Ÿ™‚

The video only has 400,000 views, relatively low considering the number of views other superstar artists receive within a week. Honestly, I don’t know what is going on. I love both Brown’s song and his video. So, is all this a sign that he still hasn’t been forgiven by the public? Only time will tell, but I hope that people catch on soon. Like I’ve said before. What he did was wrong. However, the boy has WAY more talent than most of the artists out there today. There is no reason that “Yeah 3x” should not be in Billboard’s top 10, especially since the electro/dance sound is what’s blasting all over the radios nowadays. Just sayin’…

Next Up…

MC Hammer

Chris Brown’s video would make anyone smile, but if you’re looking for a really good laugh then you may want to turn to MC Hammer. Offended by Jay-Z’s lyrics in the song “So Appalled,” which reference his money woes, MC Hammer went straight to the studio to record his Jay-Z diss “Better Run Run.” The video for “Better Run Run” was posted on YouTube yesterday, and it is one of the funniest things I have watched in a long time. Not to mention, MC Hammer’s lyrics need some serious help. Even I could write better diss lyrics than him. Anyways, check out the video below!

I’m sorry, but when I saw the devil chasing Hammer in the woods, I died. With that said, the beat goes hard! Too bad it was WASTED on Hammer.ย  lol

Kelly Rowland

If for some reason neither Chris Brown nor MC Hammer are bringing smiles to your face, then perhaps Kelly Rowland will. Last night, my friend posted one of Kelly’s live performances on my Facebook page. While watching, I realized that Ms. Kelly had a single that I had not heard of. It’s not necessarily new, but if I haven’t heard of it, then there’s a chance that you all haven’t either. Here’s the music video for Kelly’s “Forever And A Day.”

Recently, rapper Nelly stated how he would like for Kelly to return to R&Bย  even though he supports her Pop career in Europe. Honestly, if I was Kelly, I would keep my behind right over there in Europe. They love her, and I’m sure she’s making some pretty good money as a solo artist. Go Kelly!

Anyways, if you know of any new music, please let me know! Leave a comment and share this post with friends. ๐Ÿ™‚

Music Tuesdays: New Music From Chris Brown

Good morning once again everyone!

I am in an amazing mood this morning, and it is mostly because of the wonderful dance tracks that are being released by today’s most popular artists.

One of those artists just happens to be Chris Brown. Last week, Chris Brown premiered his song “Yeah 3x,” which translates to “Yeah 3 Times,” on a San Francisco radio station. San Francisco is known for loving the dance tracks, so I’m sure it will be getting a lot of airplay there. But, honestly, this song is fire if you like dance music. A snippet of “Yeah 3x” is below.

It has a “Forever” feel to it, no? I cannot wait for this to take over the radio. “Deuces” is definitely fire too, but “Yeah 3x” has the ability to be huge. ๐Ÿ™‚

And, do you know what’s funny? Chris Brown always seems to be releasing new music around the same time as Rihanna. Oh, I am humored. With that said, I think it’s time to move passed the past, and finally see them as two very separate entities, especially since one is more talented than the other…

Now, as much as I can’t stand Rihanna, her song “Only Girl In The World” is right up my alley.ย  I’m sure that most of you have heard it all over the radio. For anyone who hasn’t, however, here it is!

There have been mixed feelings surrounding Rihanna’s song. I obviously like it, but what do you all think?

It’s also funny that Rihanna’s version is actually not what I have been putting on repeat at home. A cover posted on YouTube by Conor Maynard is my version of choice. I had no idea who Conor was until I last night. Conor is a dorky looking white boy with an amazingly hot voice, which is why I love him! lol

Here’s his cover below –

I love how he incorporated Usher’s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” and Kelly Rowland’s “Commander.” Good job Conor. This entire cover has me written ALL over it.

Speaking of Ms. Rowland, she also has a new song out. Her video for “Rose Colored Glasses” was posted by Vevo almost a week ago.

Check it out!

I think it was smart for Kelly to move into the dance scene. Now, she is really beginning to separate herself from Beyonce, and becoming a true star all on her own. Kelly was always my favorite Destiny’s Child. ๐Ÿ™‚

**What do you guys think about the new music? Leave a comment!

Ms. Kelly Commands You To Dance

It’s about time another one of Destiny’s children got some 2010 shine. Kelly Rowland and French DJ David Guetta paired up for Kelly’s latest single “Commander.” This is their second time working together.

Kelly Rowland Commander

I see you Kelly with the robotic arm movements and fabulous commander outfits! ๐Ÿ˜‰

**What do you think of Kelly’s new song? Is it a hit?

p.s. I have to thank my friend Morgan for sending me the link to “Commander.” I love the concept for the music video as well as the song. Kelly is killing the dance track game right now. It’s nice to see her experiment and not box herself into the realms of R&B and Pop.

Kelly and Guetta are most known for collaborating on the 2009 international dance hit “When Love Takes Over.”ย  “When Love Takes Over” can be found on Guetta’s fourth studio album One Love.

Here’s the video link for “When Love Takes Over.” ๐Ÿ™‚

David Guetta When Love Takes Over

Words cannot express how much I looooooooooooove this song. lolย  Not to mention, Kelly’s voice kills this track, and she also looks absolutely gorgeous in the video. Get it! ๐Ÿ™‚
