X-tina, We’re Watching You and Your Rival

Seeing as though I graduate in four days, I completely forgot to promote Christina Aguilera’s Bionic album. Bionic dropped yesterday and if you haven’t picked up a copy, those stores are waiting!!! I am a little behind, and have yet to cop the diva’s disc myself. However, I am excited for the surprises that it holds. Hopefully, I won’t be disappointed! I’m sure I won’t be. 😉
As mentioned last week, Aguilera’s singles “Not Myself Tonight” and “Woohoo” haven’t been doing too hot on Billboard. As of right now, her album is more or less looking like a potential flop. With that said, X-tina has a lot of devout fans, who will go out and buy her albums no matter what. So, will she be #1 next week? We can only wait and see….

X-tina’s latest competition, Lady Gaga, released her new music video for “Alejandro” yesterday. The video already has over 3 million views on YouTube. I wonder why it took so long for a video to come out. I remember when Lady Gaga had a million music videos posted on YouTube before anyone knew who she was…..

Sidenote: A part of me really wants to like the music video for “Alejandro,” but another part of me also wants to hate it. The concept is kind of cool, playing off ideas of homosexuality. However, I can’t help, but to feel like Gaga is trying a little too hard nowadays to be different. I loved her uniqueness in the beginning, but now it feels so forced to me. It’s possible that I’m just Gaga-ed out for the year….. 😦
